I. To help raise awareness of the dangers of texting while driving, especially among the high-risk student population.
II. To give students the information and inspiration that they will need to create their own Anti-Texting-While-Driving Public Service Announcements and presentations.

30 minutes

I. Quiz (5 minutes)
Hand out copies of our Texting-While-Driving quiz to students. Give them 5 minutes to finish and tell them to hold onto their answers. 
II. PowerPoint or Video (15 minutes)
Play our PowerPoint or Video for the assembly. At the end, go through the answers to the quiz with them. Leave time for students to talk about what surprised them about the quiz and the presentation, and what moved them. 
III. Other Resources (5 minutes)
You may also want to show another video from our Resource List.
IV. Assign Student PSAs/Reenactments/Presentations (5 minutes)
Now that students have seen a few examples of Anti-Texting-While-Driving videos and presentations, challenge them to go out and shoot and edit their own videos, plan their own reenactments, or create their own presentations (Pressi and PechaKucha are free). 
V. Plan an evening for students and parents to come together to view your students’ PSAs. 
Students can send their PSAs to us at We will feature the best ones on, and promote them on social media when appropriate.
